I hope that your Memorial Day weekend went well!!
I just wanted to share with you something that happened in my home over the weekend.
I had walked past the kitchen and sitting at the table were my three daughters. The were talking back and forth and laughing like crazy. After I stood there a few minutes watching them, I walked closer to see what they were doing that was so funny. When I approached the table, I noticed that they each had their scrapbook out looking at the pages that I had put together. At that moment it hit me why I love to scrapbook so much.
I love to scrapbook because those moments are so precious to me. I want to hand down the little stories of my daughters' lives to them and their children when that time comes.
In November 2013 my grandfather had passed away. While we were going through some of the pictures at his home for his photo board and life video, I came across some really old pictures. As I looked at them closer I realized that they were photos of me. The photos were of my first Christmas (6 months old). I asked my aunt if I could take them home for a few days and scan them. I still have not scrapped those photos. Obviously, I can't remember back that far, so it would have been nice if someone in my family had recorded the small things that happened at that time.
So that got me thinking, why do you scrapbook?
